Welcome to Swinton Park Hotel

The Swinton Park Hotel is an opulent, Grade II* castle set in 200 acres of stunning gardens and parkland at the heart of the 20,000-acre Swinton Estate.

Owned by the Cunliffe-Lister family since the 1880s, and the ancestral seat of the Earl of Swinton, guests at the hotel enjoy a fabulous, yet informal stately home experience.

There is a sense throughout the Castle of it being more of a lavish country home than a hotel, with individually designed bedrooms, each with generously sized bathrooms and exceptional views.

Swinton Park Hotel is warmed throughout by our eco-friendly biomass boiler, just part of our sustainability drive, we also plant a tree on the Estate for every stay.

Bedrooms and suites

Rooms are beautifully furnished to the highest standards with en-suite bathroom, spacious bedrooms and a perfect blend of antique furnishings, opulent fabrics and contemporary styling. Bedrooms are located in either the Castle or Coach House.

Public Rooms

From the Morning Room bathed in sunlight, the Drawing Room steeped in heritage and grandeur, our intimate Sitting Room; through to the Billiard, Cinema and Den Room – the public rooms of Swinton Park are beautiful, comfortable and sumptuous.

Parkland and Gardens

Two hundred acres of historic parkland and gardens surround Swinton Park Hotel, offering spectacular views and an abundance of seasonal flowers and blossoms, with plenty of walking routes throughout.

Dining on the Swinton Estate
